1.Information we collect
When you create an account or submit an RFQ, we collect identifiers such as your name, phone number, email address, and company information. Sellers additionally provide GST, PAN, address, and listing content. We also automatically collect device, browser and usage data to operate the Platform.
2.How we use your information
We use your information to (a) operate, maintain and improve the Platform, (b) connect buyers with sellers via RFQs, (c) communicate transactional and important account messages, (d) detect, investigate and prevent fraudulent or unauthorised activity, and (e) comply with legal obligations.
3.Sharing with sellers
When you submit an RFQ, the seller you're inquiring with sees your message and can unlock your contact details (name, phone, email, company) using their plan credits. By submitting an RFQ you consent to this disclosure.
4.Service providers
We share data with vetted service providers who help us operate the Platform — including cloud hosting, analytics, transactional email and customer support tooling. These providers process data only under our instructions.
5.Legal disclosures
We may disclose your information if required to comply with law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Machines Bazar, our users, or the public.
6.Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform. After account closure, we may retain limited records for legal, audit and dispute-resolution purposes.
7.Security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
8.Your rights
You may access, correct or delete your personal information from your account settings, or by writing to us at privacy@machinesbazar.in. You can opt out of non-essential marketing communications at any time.
9.Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10.Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your session, understand how the Platform is used, and improve your experience. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work as expected.
11.International transfers
Your data is primarily stored in India. Where data is processed outside India by our service providers, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform.
